In 1923, International Harvester files patent applications for the first Farmall tractor, and hand builds 22 for testing by farmers. Built to be affordable for small to medium-sized family farms, most Farmalls were general-purpose tractors which could readily perform a multitude of farming tasks. Just like the first Farmall, 21st century Case IH Farmall tractors are designed to be versatile, powerful and productive.
