O’Connors consolidate growth with acquisition of sixteenth dealership
O’Connors have consolidated their Victorian footprint with the announcement that the Company will acquire the Case IH dealership in Echuca.
O’Connors, who currently own and operate 15 Case IH dealerships across Victoria, NSW and SA, are Case IH’s largest dealer in Australia and New Zealand were thrilled to announce the purchase of Echuca CIH on Tuesday 8th November, with the deal expected to be finalised in early February 2023.
Echuca CIH is a great fit for the O’Connors group with the mix of farming diversity in the region fitting in well with O’Connors expertise and knowledge. Acquiring the dealership in Echuca increases the company footprint to 16 locations and will round out their reach in Northern Victoria and the Southern Riverina.
O’Connors Chief Executive Officer, Gareth Webb, announced the plans at the Echuca CIH dealership on Tuesday morning explaining that the acquisition of Echuca CIH bridges the gap between north east and western Victoria and consolidates the O’Connors dealership network.
“We see plenty of opportunities in this new location and the farming type is not unfamiliar to us. We have 58 years of experience in the agricultural machinery industry, representing the Case IH brand, and building a reputation for outstanding service, and second-to-none knowledge of the industry and commitment to our customers and we are looking forward to bringing that with us to service and support northern Victoria and the southern Riverina farming communities” Gareth said.
Customers in the region have been very well serviced by Echuca CIH for the past 30 years and O’Connors are committed to ensuring that the level of service remains strong. The timeframe for changeover is planned for completion in February 2023 and all customers currently serviced by the team at Echuca CIH can rest assured that they will continue to receive the same level of dedicated service during the busy harvest period.
The strength of O’Connors has many benefits for the customer including increase in available stock, more parts availability and the advantage of the internal parts freight run and exposure to a very large technical knowledge base. Customers can be reassured that the strength and stability of O’Connors means the company is there for them no matter what the season is doing. An inherent value of O’Connors is their ability to always find a solution and the size of the dealership network certainly aides this solution focused perspective.
Echuca CIH has been owned and operated by the Stephenson family since 1988 and is currently run by Darren Stephenson.
“For fifty-eight years O’Connors has built a reputation for delivering exceptional support to customers, with unrivalled expertise and with parts and service departments backed by our extensive branch network. We’re looking forward to bringing these benefits to our new customers and ensuring uninterrupted support during the transition,” Gareth said.
