Strengthening of dealer network puts Case IH in drivers seat

Case IH dealership O’Connors is consolidating its place within the Australian agricultural machinery industry, with a significant expansion into the NSW Central West region.

The McClintock Group locations in Forbes, West Wyalong and Grenfell have been purchased by the dealership. The move also includes the Sincock LVM branch in Condobolin, taking the O’Connors footprint from six to 10 locations and making it the largest Case IH dealership in Australia.

According to O’Connors Chief Executive Officer, Gareth Webb, the business has been looking to expand and the McClintock dealerships present a perfect fit.

“O’Connors is a family business built upon great customer relationships, commitment to service and knowledge of the industry, particularly in broadacre,” he said.

“The acquisition of the McClintock’s Case IH dealerships is a great opportunity to extend our footprint with an organisation that has similar values and history.”

Pete McCann, General Manager for Case IH Australia and New Zealand, said it secured the Case IH name in a prominent agricultural region.

“We need to ensure the future of these branches for the benefit of the Case IH customers in these areas, who have been so well served by McClintock’s for more than 45 years,” Pete said.

“O’Connors is a highly-respected name within the network and we know with this expansion these branches will go from strength to strength under its management.

“This move also ensures the ongoing strength and long-term viability of Case IH in Australia and New Zealand, and that’s good news for not only the brand, but all the branches that make up our extensive network.”

The 2016 and 2017 Case IH Dealer of the Year, O’Connors currently has branches across three states, in Birchip, Warracknabeal, Horsham, Shepparton, Corowa and Bordertown. The expected changeover date for Condobolin is anticipated for December 1 with the finalisation of the McClintock deal anticipated to be by February 1, 2019.

“For over 50 years O’Connors has built a reputation for delivering exceptional support to customers, with unrivalled expertise and with parts and service departments backed by our extensive branch network. We’re looking forward to bringing these benefits to our new customers and ensuring uninterrupted support during the transition,” Gareth said.
